DTF Announces Strategic Partnership with TÜRKLİM, Expanding Maritime Reach into Türkiye

Founded in 1996, TÜRKLİM is the national association representing 69 private ports and terminals across Türkiye. Its members are responsible for handling the majority of container, cruise, and liquid bulk operations, making the association a central voice in the country’s maritime industry.

TÜRKLİM is widely recognised for advancing port digitalisation, infrastructure development, and sustainability. Its flagship publication, the Turkish Port Sector Report, now in its 17th edition, is one of the most comprehensive analyses of port operations globally, covering areas such as smart port technologies and energy efficiency.

By joining forces with TÜRKLİM, DTF consolidates its role as a platform that connects industry leaders and policymakers across Europe and neighbouring regions. The collaboration ensures that Türkiye’s maritime sector will be represented at the highest level during DTF 2025, which will be held on 15–17 October 2025 in Malta under the theme:

“Ports, Power and Partnerships. Driving Sustainability Together.”

Daniel Balzan, Conference Director of DTF, commented:

“With TÜRKLİM on board, DTF achieves a new level of regional integration, ensuring that the perspectives of Mediterranean, Northern European, and Turkish ports are all included in shaping the path to maritime decarbonisation.”

DTF 2025 is organised by EOPSA in collaboration with the WestMED Initiative, MedPorts, and now TÜRKLİM, with Transport Malta as the host port authority.
