The Decarbonising the Future Conference 2025 (DTF 2025) marked another milestone in Malta’s leadership journey toward a sustainable maritime and energy future. From groundbreaking discussions to hands-on collaborations, this year’s edition once again proved that progress happens when ports, power, and partnerships align.

Hosted at Boiler Wharf in the Grand Harbour, DTF 2025 brought together an international community of policymakers, industry experts, innovators, and partners committed to driving decarbonisation across Europe’s maritime sector.

Over two dynamic days, delegates explored pressing topics — from onshore power supply and energy infrastructure to AI-driven port optimisation and the role of education in sustainability. Keynotes, panels, and networking sessions created the perfect platform for dialogue, discovery, and collaboration.

A special highlight of this year’s edition was the introduction of an educational section in collaboration with MaritimeMT, engaging students and young professionals to experience the sustainable maritime sector first-hand — inspiring the next generation of innovators.

As DTF continues to grow, the conference remains focused on connecting ideas, solutions, and partnerships that will define the future of sustainable ports and clean energy systems.
