Since 2020, Hanno has been on the forefront of Hamburg Port Authority’s environmental activities, heading the organisation’s shore power initiatives. Subsequently, he took the helm of the newly established Port Energy Solutions Division, guiding energy transition efforts across green electron delivery, production, and green molecule distribution to align with EU mandates and Port of Hamburg’s 2040 net zero target. With a rich background in strategy consulting, focusing on market entry and expansion strategies across diverse sectors including tourism, transportation, and energy, Hanno has recently concentrated on sustainability and renewable energy. He is a business graduate of the University of Cologne and the London School of Economics and enjoys life in beautiful city of Hamburg.
