Jens Eirik Hagen is Head of Energy Transition at the Port of Oslo, where he has worked since 2019 to help make it one of Europe’s leading urban ports for decarbonization. He is part of the team driving infrastructure development to achieve the port’s goal of reducing scope 3 emissions by 85% by 2030—covering shore power for nearly all visiting ships, high-speed charging for heavy-duty vehicles, on-site renewable energy production, and the development of green shipping corridors. With a background in energy systems and grid planning, Jens brings over a decade of experience in engineering, energy strategy, and project development. He holds a master’s degree in Energy Planning. Jens collaborates closely with shipowners, the city, and other ports to ensure not just infrastructure, but real-world adoption. His expertise includes shore power, renewable energy, and building strong business cases for climate solutions. He is passionate, committed, and impatient on behalf of the climate.
